Brazil Rancho Dantas

The four brothers, Chico, Luciano, José and Franciso take care of the 44-hectares-land of the Bermond family. The property is located in the municipality of Brejetuba and in the Community called Rancho Dantas. Rancho Dantas is one of the most westward peaks in the mountains of Espirito Santo and a great example of the region’s unique terroir.

The concentration of coastal clouds along the mountain chain contributes to a constant high humidity and cool weather. The surrounding forests and rich mineral soils are adding to the created moist microclimate, which results in a bright accidity and a classic brown sugar taste in the cup. 

The family’s coffee production is known for its high quality, standing out from common brazilian sensory profiles. Under Franciscos leadership und through the partnership with FAFCoffees and the ‘lado a lado’ Project, Franciscos daughter started to show interest in the coffee production and is already inscribed in a technical graduation course for coffee agriculture.

The result? A stellar cup with notes of milk chocolate and praline alongside a malic acidity and lingering finish.
